External damage such as cracks or broken/loose roof tiles may not be easily noticeable. However, there may be some internal problems with the property like and mould or water staining which is being caused by the external defects as those cracks etc may well be letting in the elements.
Make a complaint to your landlord as soon as possible. Make sure that you keep a record of your complaint such as the person you reported it to and the date. Please keep any emails or copies of submission forms you send/complete.
Take photographs of the disrepair and keep them safe.
